Plush that moves, engineered under your brand

An animatronic plush is a mechanism wearing fabric. Four to ten servos, a linkage for each eyelid, a jaw that opens without tearing the seam, and a body soft enough to hug — every one of those is a mechanical trade-off, and the failure mode is always the same: the mechanism outlives the fabric, or the fabric strangles the mechanism. We design both sides at once and have taken these through certification and into volume.

Interaction formats we build

Eyes that blink, a beak that opens, ears that fold back, a body that turns toward a voice — each is a separate servo train with its own noise, torque and failure profile. The list below is what we have working firmware for, not what we can sketch.

The interactive characters in these drawings are illustrative: the animatronic programmes we run are mostly private-label launches, and buyers keep the appearance off the market until ship date. Photos of shipping product are in the Production range. For a mechanism walkthrough, ask sales for the teardown under NDA.

Mechanisms we have already tooled

An animatronic plush lives or dies on its mechanism, and mechanisms are the part you cannot redesign late. What follows is the hardware we can show today; anything outside it is a new tooling project, and we will say so before you commit.

The three things that break an animatronic toy

Gear whine, servo stall and battery sag. Whine is a tolerance problem — plastic gears cut too cheaply sing at 3 kHz, right where a parent notices. Stall happens when a child holds an ear still and the firmware keeps pushing. Sag is what turns a lively demo into a sluggish toy by the third week, because the voltage curve was never mapped against the motion profile. All three are solvable at design review and almost impossible to fix after tooling, which is why we insist on a mechanism prototype before a shell.

Developed for your brand and channel

Interactive toy brands

A character whose face reacts — the category that keeps outperforming static plush on a shelf demo.

Retro and legacy IP

Reviving a dormant character with modern movement, voice and app features.

Collector and adult-gift lines

Higher price points where mechanical character matters more than softness.

Entertainment and character licensing

Screen, stage and licensed characters that have to behave on camera as well as in a box.

Full-stack development

All of it, or just one piece — your call

From the outside shape to the server, all six pieces live in our own team. Hand us the whole product, or pick only the pieces you are missing — say you own the IP and the app, and we build the hardware and firmware.

✏️

Industrial design

Characters, plush and collectible forms, CMF — the look that makes people want to hold it.

🧩

Mechanical design

Servo, turntable and clamp mechanisms, plush skeletons and battery bays, tooling to pilot run.

🔌

Hardware design

Main SoC and mic arrays, motor drivers, NFC / radar / PPG sensing, 4G and Wi-Fi.

🧠

Embedded software

Offline wake word, sound-source turning, expression and motion engine, dialogue pipeline, OTA.

📱

App & mini program

iOS and Android apps for global markets, WeChat mini programs for China — setup, content, social play.

Server side

Agent and LLM integration, cloud orchestration of device behaviour, content and user back office.

Try before you build

AI voice starter kit

Want to hear the dialogue before you decide on a product? Buy the basic voice mainboard, speaker and microphone on their own, plug in power and start talking to the AI. Language and voice are set for your target market, so you can judge latency, sound and conversation before going custom.

In the box

  • ✓Voice mainboard with dialogue firmware
  • ✓Speaker
  • ✓Microphone

Bare boards, no enclosure and no battery — power it from any USB-C charger. It ships worldwide by standard express.

Why interactive-toy teams work with us

  1. 01

⚙️ Mechanism and plush designed together

Servo placement, linkage routing and fabric clearance solved in the same model, not bolted together after the pattern is approved.

  2. 02

    🔇 Quiet by design

Gear train selection, damping and motion profiles so the character does not sound like a printer — the most common complaint in this category.

  3. 03

🔋 Battery access that survives play

A compartment a child cannot open and an adult can, with the wiring strain relief that stops the number one return reason. Quantity and price quoted per project.

Describe the motion you want

Say what should move, how far and how fast, and what happens when a child holds it still. That is enough for us to tell you how many servo trains it needs, what it will sound like, and whether the shell you have in mind can hold it.
